Language Centre

The Language Centre is a key facility of the Bonn-Rhein-Sieg University. It works in close cooperation with all the departments, offering tailor-made courses designed to suit their individual requirements.

At present the Language Centre offers general and subject-specific courses in 14 languages, which are mainly held by native speakers. We extend our range of courses according to the students' individual requirements and needs. Furthermore, we provide courses in Intercultural Communication and additional "soft skills" as well as language testing in English (TOEFL, TOEIC) and in German as a Foreign Language (DSH, TestDaF).

However, the staff employed by the Language Centre do not only use their linguistic and cultural competence for language teaching. Further services provided to students include the assessment and certification of foreign language skills (required for the German Academic Exchange Service DAAD, for the International Association of Students in Economics and Business Management AIESEC etc.), writing tutorials in German and English as well as the individual supervision of students who are preparing for a study period abroad.
