Facilities

At Rheinbach and Sankt Augustin, language learners are provided with language laboratories where Computer Assisted Language Learning (CALL) courses are held. Project work, such as designing homepages in the target language, and Tandem (email learning partnerships) can be carried out as well as work with multimedia software and placement tests, to mention but a few of the possibilities.

In cooperation with the University Library, the Language Centre runs a Self-Access Centre in the library at Rheinbach campus in which multimedia learning programmes and other foreign language materials are available to library users. The Self-Access Centre helps students, above all, to practise and deepen the language skills acquired during their courses and to study rarely taught languages such as Hungarian or Zulu.
